At times, you may want more than to just maximize your view and view something in full screen mode. Favorite items to view on your whole screen are photographs and videos, for example. If so, you were probably awed by the Aero Glass Theme that was installed on your PC. It’s truly impressive; however, it does consume a lot of memory and makes your PC rum slower. Many users find that after enjoying this theme for a few weeks, they’d prefer to do without it and enjoy better performance instead. To disable Aero, you go to the Control Panel and navigate to Personalization. At that screen you will be able to change to a Basic theme instead of one of the Aero themes. Of course, if you’re really attached to the Aero theme, you should keep it, but this is something worth considering if you want to speed up Windows.
Windows will run faster if you get rid of installed software that you never use. Most computers come loaded with software and applications that most users never open. Needless to say, your computer will run slower because of the memory these programs hog. It’s an easy matter to delete the programs and software that you have no interest in. A lot of programs start-up automatically when you turn on your computer. You can make your computer run faster by disabling the programs that you really don’t need to open at start up. What’s the point of having start-up run slow simply to open a bunch of applications that aren’t necessary? Windows gives you many possibilities beyond the simple commands most people are familiar with. It’s simple for most computer users – even newcomers – to learn how to use their PC and function on the internet because Windows was designed to be user-friendly.
